Ajilobat is a robot that will try to acquire an artificial soul. Not a religious one, but an artificial one for robots. Like artificial intelligence, which is not a biological one.
We will very probably have a lot of robots around us in the future. And we want them to be nice and good. Characteristics as competent, trustworthy, even liable, and with the capacity to handle a complex interaction with human will be mandatory. Very likely they will need rights for protection as well.
We think that the concept of artificial soul may be appropriate to support this goal. And a robot with artificial soul is a robot with features as above.
That is why we are launching Ajilobat project. Ajilobat will be a robot that tries to get an artificial soul. One of Ajilobat’s first major tasks will be a robot cafe – a cafe operated entirely by robots but with almost the same functions as one run by humans.
If a robot with an artificial soul can run a cafe, be nice, reliable, and handle a complex interaction with humans, then it can also work in a store, retirement home. Driving a car. Imagine meeting an autonomous car on the road that has an artificial soul, we believe it will feel better than meeting an electronic automaton. Probably it’s even a necessity.
